Write a story about yourself in the business thus far from your mentor’s point of view
Manasseh Bennett
My name is Evan Anthony Marshall. I'm going to discuss a little bit about Manasseh
Bennett. Then after, I will discuss how I keep my hair so stiff in the same spot, it could hold
a bird family of 50. I'm going to tell you about the time I found my most important player.
This story is called: “TopFlight: The rise of a Star🏀''. My name is Evan Curry and I’m
looking to build my championship team. This is it. This is the year I must takeover. I've
held tryouts(interviews), after tryouts to find my other half for months and I finally
prevailed. This cat has potential. His name is Manasseh James. Just a kid from Akron
Ohio. He’s smart, has the skill set and that dog mentality that I recognize from my stepdad
Shane Harden. When I first interviewed Manasseh, I believe I saw a potential successful
NBA Star (owner) who has the certain skill set to go far for himself. I knew that with a little
minor fixing with this guy, he’s a key factor on my way out. I must retain him. He
mentioned to me he’s never played basketball(business experience) competitively before
but is very determined to play. I told him that he has nothing to worry about. I will build
him. I said “Brother, if Joel Embiid can do it, you have nothing to fear, failure is getting one
step closer to success”. We immediately got the ball rolling with fundamentals to build his
foundation. He’s exactly what I anticipated him to be; a sharp, determined and fast learner.
He beats me to the gym(office) everyday as he’s already working on his craft to become the
best version of himself. I saw a little bit of me in him so I had to challenge his mindset to see
what he’d do in a tough moment without me. So as my step dad abandoned me, on game
day (field) , I abandoned him and didn’t show as he expected me to be by his side . I just
mentioned that I forgot my game shoes (Flyer) at home and would be back real quick. Just
like my step dad Shane Harden did to me, it made me strong. Like father, like son. He
became more disciplined . From these past couple months of training Manasseh James, I
see minor errors that need fixing but overall, he’s what I need to get that ring. He’s a
champion. I will never give up on him and will push him to his greatest potential. This is
TopFlight: The rise of a Star 🏀”.
